SFM NFL Playoff Pick’em

The object to this game is very simple, pick the team that you think will win each match-up throughout the NFL playoffs.

Scoring will be based on two factors. You will get points for picking the right winner and you can also get bonus points if you can guess the number of points the winner will score within 10 pts (+/-).

Points will be different for each round of the playoffs.

10 points + bonus pts (up to 10) for the Wild Card playoffs

20 points + bonus pts (up to 20) for the Divisional playoffs

40 points + bonus pts (up to 40) for the Conference Championships

80 points + bonus pts (up to 80) for picking the Super Bowl Winner

Bonus point break down: In the wild card if you are dead on then you get 10; if off by 1 then you get 9; if off by 2 you get 8, etc. In the divisional round it’s a 2 point deduction for each point off; 4 point deduction in conference round and 8 point deduction for Super Bowl.

Each week I will send out reminders with the match-ups listed. You will then pick your winners and how many points they will score and send your picks back to me.

Picks for the first and second round will be due back by midnight Friday so that all picks can be posted before the games start on Saturday. Picks for the final 2 rounds will be due back by midnight on Saturday.

End of playoffs ties: If there happens to be any ties at the end of the playoffs, we will be using the total number of points scored by both teams in the Super Bowl. With the Super Bowl picks everyone will be asked to also enter the tiebreaker guess along with their actual pick. If a tie still exists among players, co champions will be declared.
